Red Emperor Hostel is a perfect place to stay for several nights, if you want to explore the Old Town. It's so close to all the sights, that you can take long night walks when it's warm, see Tallin in a beautiful lighting, which makes it look as in medieval tale, and drop in all the nice bars and small restaurants around :) By the way the bar in hostel is awesome, great music and design, and you can just open the door and go there in your slippers. We liked everything in the hostel - from the cheerful bed linen and clean bathroom to graffity on the walls and really friendly staff. Just ask at reception - and you'll get tips about nice places, city tours and directions to ferry and everything. Next time we'll stay here without a single doubt! Many thanks for a great stay!
It can be a bit noisy at night, but it really depends on neighbours.
+ Toilets + Colourful interior + Access to computer and WiFi
- The lack of good mood among staff (you seemed often a little arrogant and didn't smile/greeted to your guests very often. A smile and a "Good Morning" can bring much more happiness for the new day, both for staff as for guests) - The stank of beer and tobacco smoke in the bar
Location was awesome. Most staff were really friendly and chatty. Cute room. Joined to bar :)
The hostel is very close to the city center, just 3 minutes walking. Room and Bathroom were very clean.
Room was quite cold because there is no heating in the rooms. Very small bathroom for all the people in the hostel.
Great location - the Old Town is just a few minutes away! The staff is very friendly and give you the best advice what to see, where to eat etc. Also the supermarket is just across the road. The place is very clean and the showers nice. I felt quite secure there - the door is closed, someone's always at the reception and the lockers seemed to even have security camera surveillance. I really liked the bar/common room - open to locals, too, so no need to even go out to meet new people!
pub, room, free internet access, bathroom, kitchen
entrance quite complicated, too many codes
Friendly atmosphere, low-priced booze, being at the bar in slippers etc.
Weak door locks at the shower and toilet
People were very friendly and the hostel was very clean. I spend a very nice night and evening there!
It's too noisy. We couldn't sleep well couse of next door guys. The walls are very thin.
